Great leaders start with Self Leadership. They know that they can only lead others if they have recognised who they are and what motivates them. They know the personal drivers behind their life goals. Great leaders are very ‘self-aware’. They know both their leadership strengths and weaknesses. They deliberately build on their strengths and work on their weaknesses.
This course consists of 4 sessions:
Session 1: Who Are You?
In this session you are going to find out who you are. You will go beyond yourself to gain an understanding of your values, talents, and job fit. You will not only understand yourself better but you will also be introduced to the attributes of great leaders.
Session 2: Creating your Vision
In this session you are going to create a vision for yourself. You will try to create a picture of yourself in the future by considering who you are and your dream. Not only will you be able to create a vision, you will be given some great time management skills to make your vision come true.
Session 3: Achieving your Vision
In this session you are going to get ready to take action. You will equip yourself with a great plan, try to get support from key people by influencing them, and find a great mentor.
Session 4: Developing Skill
In this session you are going to develop your leadership skill. There are four skills we are going to focus on: communicating, influencing, networking, and relationship building.
